Overseas Import Tariffs
While Hong Kong imposes no tariffs on imported textiles and clothing products, some of our trading partners do. At present, the Trade and Industry Department provides service on overseas tariff enquiries to the trade. To find out the tariff rate applicable to your products when entering an overseas market, first you need to ascertain the Harmonized System (HS) classification of your products. You may approach the Census and Statistics Department of the HKSAR Government at tel. no. 2877 1818 for classification. With the HS classification you may then approach the Trade and Industry Department for assistance:
